Paris 2024: Just a matter of time- Isaac Botsio reacts after missing out on Ghana Relay Team
Ghana sprinter Isaac Botsio has reacted after not featuring in Ghana’s Men’s 4×100 Metre Relay Team at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Botsio missed out on Team Ghana’s list of sprinters that had Joseph Paul Amoah, Benjamin Azamati, Ibrahim Fuseini and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu in it and competed in Heat 2 of the 4×100 Metre Relay semifinals.
Despite being a constant feature in the team, Botsio was dropped for Saminu after the latter run an impressive 10.05 seconds in the 100 Metre heats.
Ghana run a time of 38.62 seconds in the heat but got disqualified for a lane infraction after a baton change between Azamati and Saminu went wrong.
Botsio wrote on his X, (formerly Twitter) page that “Just a matter of time” attached to a picture of Botsio seated with the Eiffel Tower in Paris in the background.
Media Attache of Ghana’s contingent at the 2024 Paris Games, Benjamin William Graham, however, doesn’t believe the change in the lineup was key in Ghana’s unsuccessful attempt to make the finals. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
